Description
Do you have an induction or electric cooktop instead of a gas stove, but want to cook with a donabe?
Then this Kakomi IH Donabe Steamer is the answer to your donabe cooking needs. Kinto’s claypot has a clean, modern look. It has a soft curved container, and the lid has cleaner edges.
Available in Black and White and it is suitable for 1-3 people. Don Abe also carries Kinto’s induction donabe for 3-5 people.
Kinto Kakomi IH Donabe is a steamer donabe thanks to its ceramic inlay. Steam vegetables and healthy dishes in a couple of minutes, or make soups and stews without the inlay.
Ideas for steam cooked dishes are a seasonal steam medley, dumplings, or a steam cake (recipes to be found in Takei-Moore’s Donabe Cookbook), or soups and stew-like dishes. Without the steam grate, you can use the claypot for stews and soups.
Kinto Kakomi IH Donabe Steamer Basic Steaming:
Follow the three easy steps for your fast steaming meals:
1. Fill the Donabe for 70% with water
2. Put the steam grate in place and cover with lid. Bring to a boil over medium/high heat
3. Line the grate and place the ingredients on the lining or directly on the grate.
4. Cover and cook until done. Dig in.
